BetCity new main sponsor Fortuna

Starting with the 2022/2023 season, the cooperation will be extended and BetCity will make a transfer to the front of the jersey. Both parties have agreed on a cooperation for three seasons. BetCity thus succeeds Hurkmans Groep as main sponsor. Hurkmans Groep will remain intensively involved with the club as a Diamond partner.

Melvin Bostelaar, CEO at BetCity is excited about the main sponsorship: 'From the first conversation we had with Fortuna Sittard, openness and realism prevailed! We felt very welcome and look forward to the moment we will be on the shirt as the main sponsor and together make this partnership a success!

"We are happy that we can finally go public with this happy news," said an elated Ivo Pfennings, general manager of Fortuna Sittard. "From the moment we embarked on the process, we have had an incredibly good feeling with BetCity, something that has only grown stronger during the first months of our cooperation. The fact that BetCity signed the main sponsor contract even before the denouement of the league is significant about how they stand in this partnership and the confidence they have in the club."

BetCity will have prominent visibility in the Fortuna Sittard Stadion as the main sponsor. However, the partnership will be drawn more broadly. "This agreement is going to add value for all parties involved, both on and off the field. It gives us the opportunity to take the next step in the further professionalization of the club and contributes to the structural growth of our budget. It also gives us the opportunity to improve facilities."

The supporters are not forgotten either. "An important pillar in our policy is to further strengthen the bond with our supporters," Pfennings continued. "In this, BetCity and Fortuna are pulling together in the form of sympathetic activations for adult supporters. To kick off the cooperation, BetCity, together with Fortuna Sittard and its supporters, will tackle the (yellow-green) appearance of the stadium. More information about this will follow very soon...," Pfennings indicated.

The merchandise outfits for the new season will of course feature the new BetCity printing, with the exception of the children's sizes. BetCity chooses not to be visible with its expression on youth shirts of Fortuna Sittard and make this position available to the club for a social purpose. Fortuna Sittard will soon announce to which charity the position will be made available.
