Fortuna wins friendly against TOP Oss
Fortuna ended the practice match against TOP Oss victoriously. At the complex of RKVV Eindse Boys it became 2-0.
Head coach Danny Buijs had to make do in Nederweert-Eind without Alen Halilovic, Dimitrios Siovas and Tom Hendriks, who all remained sidelined as a precaution. This was offset by the return of Arianit Ferati. The midfielder was missing the last three practice matches due to a suspension.
For the first few minutes, Fortuna was mainly in possession of the ball; however, it did not produce any major chances. One did come for TOP Oss with eight minutes on the clock, a drive disappeared off the post beyond the reach of Ivor Pandur. A few minutes later the ball was in at the other end. Rodrigo Guth put his head firmly against a free kick and left TOP Oss goalie Lars van Meurs without a chance.
After the opening goal, Fortuna remained the superior side. There were chances from Kaj Sierhuis, Iñigo Córdoba and Arianit Ferati, among others, but they did not manage to double the margin. Tijjani Noslin managed to do so just before the halftime signal, nodding in a cross from Sierhuis.
In the second half both teams slowed down. As a result, there were significantly fewer chances. Eventually the scoreboard started to move. After a handball, Ferati had the chance to score 3-0. The midfielder sent Van Meurs the wrong way and put the final score on the board.
