Fortuna brings Kaj Sierhuis back to Holland

Kaj Sierhuis is returning to the Eredivisie. The 25-year-old striker has signed a three-season commitment.
Sierhuis is acquired from Stade Reims, playing in the French Ligue 1. "I'm looking forward to it," kicked off the new No. 9. "I've had to deal with some setbacks in recent seasons, so it's important for me to make a lot of minutes again. I hope to do that in the coming seasons in the Fortuna shirt. Besides that, it is nice to meet familiar faces with the trainers in Sittard. I am ready for this new challenge."
Americo Branco, technical manager: "We are extremely happy that Kaj has chosen Fortuna. He is an excellent fit for this club. Kaj has shown in the past to be an accurate striker and has worked successfully with Danny Buijs and Adrie Poldervaart earlier in his career. We are confident that it will work out well again this time."
Athens-born Sierhuis is a youth product of Ajax. In 2016, he made his debut in professional soccer on behalf of the promising team. After three appearances in the main squad and a (rental) period at FC Groningen, the striker ended up in France, at Stade Reims. The former youth international's tally stands at 148 matches in professional football.
