Fortuna contracts Ante Erceg on a free transfer
Fortuna has strengthened itself with Croatian Ante Erceg. The forward comes to Sittard on a free move, after playing for NK Istra last season from his homeland Croatia.
The 34-year-old Erceg brings a lot of experience with him. The striker played over 200 games at the highest level in Croatia, in which he scored 59 goals and provided 30 assists. Erceg began his career in his hometown of Split with RNK Split. A few years later, he also played for the city's biggest club, Hajduk Split.
Despite his more than 200 games at the highest level in Croatia, Fortuna is not his first foreign adventure. During his career, Erceg played in Turkey (Balikesirspor), the United Arab Emirates (Shabab Al-Ahli Club) and Denmark (Esbjerg FB and Bröndby IF).
The Croatian signed a two-year contract in Sittard.
