Fortuna welcomes Iman Griffith

The brand new recruit is ready for the new adventure. "My first impression is very positive," let the 21-year-old Griffith know. "It's a nice environment and the facilities here are good. I finished three seasons in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and learned a lot because of that, now I get the chance to prove myself in the Eredivisie. I am enormously looking forward to my time at Fortuna."

The outfielder had been on Americo Branco's radar for some time. "We have been in talks for some time," said the technical manager. "Iman is a very interesting player, so we are happy that the deal is complete. He adds something extra to the team. He is a flamboyant outside player, with good action at home. Qualities we still wanted to add to the selection."

Griffith made the switch from Zeeburgia to AZ when he was seventeen. In 2019, he made his debut in professional soccer on behalf of the Alkmaarers' promising squad. He made a total of 77 appearances for Jong AZ. In that time Griffith managed to record ten goals and thirteen assists.
