Fortuna takes a point from Rotterdam

Head coach Danny Buijs was able to call on Rodrigo Guth again, he returned to the team after a one-match suspension. In addition, Mitchell Dijks took a seat on the bench again, the back had to miss the last few games due to a minor injury. Kristoffer Peterson was not yet fit enough, Samuel Bastien started in midfield in place of Josip Mitrovic.

After just over half an hour, the fans in the Fortuna section were allowed to cheer. After a combination on the right with Bastien, captain Ivo Pinto served Bullaude at the far post with a beautiful cross. Sparta goalkeeper Nick Olij had no defense against his header: 1-1. A few minutes before half-time, Bullaude was even close to a second goal, a well-watched shot from about fourteen meters that went just wide of the wrong side of the post.

Sparta pushed after the break to take the win. Arno Verschueren's shot went just wide, Quintero was again involved in a dangerous situation from close range. However, his shot went wide. Substitute Mito aimed twice straight at Fortuna goalkeeper Mattijs Branderhorst. Gradually, Fortuna also came dangerously close to Sparta's goal several times. A shot by Alen Halilovic was saved by Olij, and moments later Bullaude was prevented from scoring in a promising position by three defenders of the Rotterdam team.
