Fortuna presents new eSports team
Fortuna will be represented by two newcomers in the new eDivisie season. Levi Arler and Tobias de Boer signed a contract with the club this week and will play for Fortuna in the eDivisie.
The design of the eDivision will change this season compared to previous years. Where previously a team of two players took action during a round of play, from next season it will only be a 1 vs. 1 duel takes place. Both eSports players once again come from the stable of ECV esports, the official partner of the club and the partner with which it has been working since the beginning of the eDivision.
Levi Arler
Due to the format change, 20-year-old Levi Arler will be the first player to play for Fortuna. Last season, Arler made his debut in the eDivisie by playing for RKC Waalwijk. This season he will defend the colors of Fortuna and hope to reach the eDivision Finals: "I look back on my debut season with satisfaction. I have learned a lot and made great steps. I am ready for the new season and am happy to have the opportunity get at Fortuna. The goal is to reach the Finals, something that unfortunately did not happen last year. I am confident that we will succeed this year."
Tobias de Boer
The Fortuna team is completed this year by Tobias de Boer. The eSporter, from Valkenswaard, will act as the second player behind Arler. In the previous season, De Boer was part of the FC Volendam team, with which he made his debut in the eDivisie. De Boer is looking forward to the new season: "I am excited to be part of Fortuna's eSports team. Together with Levi we hope to have a successful season. It would be a wonderful reward if we manage to to be in the Finals at the end of the season."
Start season
The new season of the eDivisie starts on Tuesday, November 5 and can be viewed live weekly via ESPN, YouTube and Twitch.
