Fortuna Women failed to achieve a result against the revelation of the current season, FC Utrecht. It was no less than 0-4 for the visitors from the Cathedral City.

There was at least good news from the Fortuna camp prior to the match. Isa Dekker - involved in nine goals - returned to the starting line-up. The attacker took Sanne Arons' place. It was the only change in head coach Glenda van Lieshout's team.

It soon became clear that it would be a tough afternoon. FC Utrecht took the initiative from the first whistle, which resulted in Elisha Kruize's 0-1 after more than fifteen minutes of play. The attacker took advantage of the release of the ball by goalkeeper Claire Dinkla. Just before the half-time signal, another boom followed; Kruize also made her second of the match. This time too the ball fell at her feet via a Fortunees.

In the second half the visitors remained the dominant party. This was eventually also converted into a larger score. Ilse van der Zanden made it 3-0 by heading in a free kick. Ten minutes before the end, Utrecht also scored a fourth goal. A header from Gera op den Kelder was too powerful for Dinkla.

Fortuna Vrouwen: Dinkla, Pietersma (62' Van Berlo), Stoop, Vijfhuizen (67' Van Koot), Kopp, Van Heeswijk, Van Wershoven, Peereboom (67' Stauffenberg), Dekker (46' Arons), Eijken (62' Hilhorst) en Prins.
