2023 Afscheid Paul Gladon

Fortuna says goodbye to Paul Gladon effective immediately. The striker leaves for Armenian frontrunner Noah FC.

Americo Branco, technical manager, explains Gladon's departure, "We started talks earlier this calendar year. As a club, we made several proposals, unfortunately without success. Both parties were unable to come closer during these talks. As a result, Paul has set his sights on a lucrative foreign adventure, which he has made known internally. With Noah FC, that opportunity finally came his way."

With that, the 31-year-old Haarlem native chose a surprising adventure. "It all happened very quickly," Gladon said. "It wasn't an easy choice, I really had to think about it carefully. For me and my family, Limburg started to feel familiar in a short time, we have always enjoyed ourselves tremendously. In addition, the supporters have always made me feel enormously appreciated. I am sure that I will return to Sittard."

Gladon signed a contract with Fortuna in February 2022. Since then, the striker made 41 appearances in yellow-and-green, in which he was good for ten goals. Earlier in his career, Gladon came time for Sparta Rotterdam, FC Dordrecht, Heracles Almelo, Wolverhampton, Sint Truiden, FC Groningen, Willem II and FC Emmen.
