Fortuna Sittard won the home match against SC Heerenveen with convincing scores: 3-0. The goals were scored by Lorentz Rosier (2x) and Kristoffer Peterson.

Head coach Danny Buijs had made starting places for Samuel Bastien and, just like against De Treffers, Alessio da Cruz. For the rest, the team that achieved the necessary results in recent weeks remained intact. After only ten minutes the Fortuna fans were cheering. After a shortly taken free kick, the ball came to Mitchell Dijks, his cross from the left was extended with his head by Rosier. Heerenveen goalkeeper Andries Noppert had no answer to the placed header: 1-0.

The guests had a lot of ball possession in the remainder of the first half, but head coach Robin van Persie's team was unable to create opportunities. Fortuna controlled the match, without really creating a goal threat itself.

After half time the same game pattern, with the guests again determining the game pattern. However, Fortuna goalkeeper Mattijs Branderhorst could again rely on the defensive strength of the team in front of him, his qualities were not really tested. A shot by substitute Illias Sebaoui, which went just wide, was the only offensive achievement for the Friesland team. After just under an hour of play, Fortuna brought two fresh players into the field with Makan Aïko and Kristoffer Peterson, who posed a threat mainly with their speed.

Barely ten minutes after both entered the field, Fortuna doubled its lead. Aïko disrupted the guests' build-up by putting a lot of pressure on the defense, after which Peterson stole the ball from Nikolai Soyset Hopland. Free for Noppert, the Swedish attacker remained cool: 2-0. A few minutes later Fortuna's third goal followed, again Rosier was effective. After a corner kick from Bastien, the ball suddenly lay at the feet of the midfielder, and from about ten meters he scored like an accomplished attacker: 3-0.

The match was of course over and supporters, players and trainers could celebrate another victory just before 11 p.m. Fortuna recorded its third home win in a row and achieved eleven points in the last five matches. Fortuna also remained without a goal for the sixth time, including the fourth in a row. Equaling the club record.

The away match against PEC Zwolle is scheduled for next Saturday
