Club
Fortuna is more than just football. As a club, we are at the center of society and believe it is important to create value off the field as well.
The enormous appeal of sports, and professional soccer in particular, plays an important role in this. The power of the yellow and green colors and the magic of the stadium, both inside and outside the stadium walls, are components that we focus on for this purpose.
We do this under the name Fortuna Verbindt, with which we give substance to the social role that fits and belongs to a club acting in Dutch professional soccer. With our social policy, Fortuna wants to play a binding role in society.
We do this by means of three pillars, under which various projects are closely connected. The activities of Fortuna Verbindt focus on vulnerable groups, a healthy and active lifestyle and reintegration and participation.
Fortuna Verbindt aims to make an impact for vulnerable groups in the region in several ways. One of these is personal development. Here we focus particularly on one's own talent and potential, increasing the quality of life and realizing dreams and aspirations. In addition, our projects for vulnerable groups are centered on addressing loneliness and disconnection from reality.

A healthy and active lifestyle contributes to the vitality of people in our region. With the projects and initiatives within this pillar, we focus largely on children. We encourage exercise, physical activities and our role models inform about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in schools and in club life. Finally, we deploy football as a social force in neighborhoods of lower socioeconomic status.

Within this pillar we want to create opportunities for people with a disadvantage on the labor market. Here we try to reach as many levels as possible on the participation ladder, guiding people from a difficult situation to new perspectives. We use the power of our logo to empower these perspectives.

Als club zit het pionierschap in ons DNA. Als eerste betaald voetbalclub in Nederland hebben we een mooie trend gezet. We proberen dit innovatieve karakter door te vertalen in vele facetten. Zowel binnen- als buiten ons stadion. Zo proberen we vele trends en ontwikkelingen te adopteren en in te voeren. Denk hierbij aan WhatsApp communicatie, FAN Tokens, handpalmscanners, digitale programmaboekjes enzovoorts. Een ander nieuw initiatief sluit hier naadloos op aan en past bij het verduurzamen van ons als club. Met ingang van dit seizoen zijn we overgestapt op herbruikbare bekers om hiermee het plastic afval te verminderen. Daarmee loopt Fortuna vooruit op de nieuwe wetgeving vanuit de overheid. Deze schrijft voor dat plastic wegwerpbekers vanaf 1 januari 2024 in de ban worden gedaan bij evenementen, waaronder voetbalwedstrijden.
Daarnaast zetten wij ons om mensen in onze regio bewust te maken van duurzamer gedrag. Dit proberen wij te bereiken aan de hand van een aantal projecten en initiatieven:

- Slinger. Samen rijden.
Fortuna Verbindt Membership
Companies, organizations, institutions, but also individuals can support the Fortuna Verbindt Foundation through the Fortuna Verbindt Membership. With your support we ensure that, among other things, current projects can be continued and new initiatives can be proposed.
