Fortuna welcomes Mouhamed Belkheir
Fortuna has transferred Mouhamed Belkheir. The 24-year-old striker comes over from Portugal's Vilafranquense.
Belkheir signed a contract for two seasons in Sittard. The commitment includes an option for an additional year. "I am extremely grateful for this opportunity," said the brand-new acquisition. "Fortuna had a good story and the Netherlands is a fantastic country to play football. I'm looking forward to being on the pitch with my new teammates."

Belkheir was in the past under contract to Internazionale, Torino and Leixões, among others. For the past two seasons, the former Algerian youth international played for Vilafranquense, which will be called AFS Vila das Aves from next season due to a merger. The multifunctional Belkheir appeared in 58 matches for the club from Vila Franca de Xira, scoring eleven goals.
