Fortuna Women came into action against Feyenoord on Saturday. It was an evening to quickly forget: 0-6.

Fortuna had to make do without captain Moïsa van Koot, who was injured against AZ last week. Her place was taken by Femke Pietersma. Furthermore, head coach Glenda van Lieshout relied on the same players as in the previous match.

Fortuna fell behind after more than fifteen minutes of play, although the manner in which this happened is questionable. A bet from Sanne Koopman seemed to end up on the line via the crossbar. However, the arbitration awarded a goal to the visitors from Rotterdam. Even after the opening goal, the chances remained for Feyenoord, including a ball on the crossbar. In injury time of the first half, Fortuna scored two more goals; Former Fortune player Jarne Teulings scored the 0-2 from a rebound, a minute later Esmee de Graaf made it 0-3 after a bet by the same Teulings.

Even after the tea break, Feyenoord remained the superior team. After an hour of play, the attacking intentions were rewarded with another goal. Ella van Kerkhoven put her head against a cross from the right. That did not end Sittard's suffering. With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Romeé van de Lavoir left goalie Claira Dinkla without a chance with a placed ball in the short corner. And then the icing on the Rotterdam cake still had to come. A flowing attack ended up with Teulings via a tour de force to Tess van Bentem, who then determined the final score: 0-6.

Fortuna Women: Dinkla, Pietersma, Kopp, Van Wershoven, Stoop, Vijfhuizen, Van Heeswijk, Arons, Peereboom, Eijken en Prins.
