Fortuna will switch to durable, re-usable hardcups starting from the 2023/2024 season, in cooperation with Dutch Cups. These will be put into use for the first time during the home game against Almere City.

To combat litter and reduce the use of plastic, from now on all drinks will be served in a reusable hardcup. By doing so, Fortuna anticipates the new legislation from the government. This requires disposable plastic cups to be banned at events, including soccer matches, from January 1, 2024. Four unique copies are available on the regular stands and a neutral version will be used in the business area.

How it works.

If you order a drink at one of the catering points in the Fortuna Sittard Stadium, the first time you pay €2.00 per hardcup extra. With your next order, you will hand in your cup(s) and receive your order in a new, clean cup. If you have finished your last drink, you have three options:

Option 1: You hand in the hardcup at one of the catering points for a Fortuna token.

On your next visit you can exchange this token for a free new hardcup. So you don't pay €2.00 again.

Option 2: You take home the unique Fortuna cup. Several designs have been produced, so you can save up a nice collection of cups. You can take this cup with you next time you visit the club and hand it in with your order so you don't have to pay €2.00 again.Would you like to keep the cup at home?Keep in mind that you have to pay €2,00 again with your next order.

Option 3: You donate the cup after the match in the collection bins at the exits. The money goes to the Fortuna Academy or you contribute to extra activities in the stadium.
