Goalkeeper Ivor Pandur is leaving Fortuna for English side Hull City. In England, Pandur signed a multi-year contract.

The 23-year-old Croatian came on loan from Italian Hellas Verona in the summer of 2022. Here Fortuna negotiated an option to buy which was released last summer, leaving the goalkeeper with an ongoing contract in Sittard until mid-2027.

Despite an early farewell, Pandur looks back on his time in Sittard with a very satisfied feeling. "I had a great period at the club, where I went through a beautiful development. I am enormously grateful to Fortuna for that. I want to thank the players, staff and supporters for the great time they gave me here."

Americo Branco, technical manager of Fortuna, is also unfortunate that Pandur is leaving Sittard behind. "For Ivor it is a nice new step in his career. Ivor has always been an example, both on and off the field. He has developed fantastically in his time at Fortuna and we grant him this nice transfer. Of course we wish Ivor all the best of luck in England."

At Fortuna, Pandur competed with Yanick van Osch and this season with Luuk Koopmans. The goalkeeper came into action for Fortuna in 49 official matches, in which thirteen clean sheets were achieved. An adventure now awaits Pandur at The Tigers, the current number six in the English Championship.

The announcement of the goalkeeper's leaving took some time due to the visa procedure in the United Kingdom, which has now been approved. In the meantime, Fortuna has already anticipated Pandur's leaving and brought Verrips back from Groningen. With the welcome of Verrips, the goalkeepers' guild is complete again in Sittard.
