Fortuna Women's loses in Enschede

Fortuna Sittard Women suffered a heavy defeat against FC Twente Women in the semifinals of the Eredivisie Cup. It became 5-0 for the home team in Enschede.

FC Twente Women opened the scoring early in the first half. Renate Jansen managed to score twice, while Bente Dhont, Fenna Stolze and Marisa Olislagers Kroezen all scored one goal for the home team. Fortuna Sittard Vrouwen could not find the goal a single time and even saw Samantha van Diemen sent off the field after a second yellow card.

In the second half, FC Twente Women remained dominant and Fortuna Sittard Women had few chances to get back into the game. It was a frustrating afternoon for the visiting team, who ended up conceding five goals. The match ended in a 5-0 victory for FC Twente Women.
