Fortuna Vrouwen has not been able to follow up the great victory over leader FC Twente. The team of head coach Roger Reijners lost Friday night at ADO Den Haag: 1-0.

In a cold Hague, there was little to enjoy in the first half. Both teams played from a strong organization, creating only a handful of chances. The best was for Tessa Wullaert. The Belgian club's top scorer looked to take advantage of a too soft back pass, but ADO goalkeeper Barbara Lorsheyd made things difficult enough for Wullaert, so the ball went wide in the end.

In the second half, the home team was on top. The Hofstadlings hit the post twice and had to watch how Alieke Tuin prevented the opening goal twice from close range. In the closing stages the decision fell. The referee whistled for an alleged foul on goalie Diede Lemey and pointed decisively to the penalty spot. From eleven meters Jaimy Ravensbergen put the 1-0 final score on the scoreboard.

Line-up: Lemey, Iliano (70' Van Koot), Knol, Van Diemen, Tuin, Van Heeswijk, Antonsdottir, Foederer (70' Hulst), Teulings (70' Huizenga), Wullaert en Gros.
