Fortuna Women took three points when they visited PEC Zwolle. That happened with a minimal victory: 0-1.

Both teams met in the stadium of the club from Zwolle, where the men's first team will also play football next week. Glenda van Lieshout did not have access to club top scorer Isa Dekker. The head coach chose Lakeesha Eijken, who also scored two goals, as a replacement. The other ten players also kicked off in the last match against SC Heerenveen.

There were plenty of chances in the first half. Both teams appeared in front of goal several times, but were unable to score. The better opportunities were for Fortuna. The largest was for Femke Prins. The attacker saw her bet turned back on the line.

The second half was also entertaining with a lot of threat from both PEC Zwolle and Fortuna Vrouwen. Fortuna also crawled through the eye of the needle a few times. With more than an hour on the clock, Diana Hilhorst broke the ban. The substitute appeared to be offside, but was not whistled back. The midfielder pushed the ball in with control and scored her first goal in Sittard's service.

A few minutes later, PEC Zwolle was close to the equalizer. A corner kick ended straight on top of the crossbar. On the other hand, Fortuna had the chance to double the margin, but failed to do so. In the final phase, Hanna Huizenga, who played in yellow-green last season, was close to the equalizer. The attacker shot over. A few minutes later the score seemed to be 1-1, but the attack was called off early due to alleged offside. So the 0-1 remained on the scoreboard and Fortuna Vrouwen added three points.

Fortuna Vrouwen: Dinkla, Van Koot, Vijfhuizen, Stoop, Kopp (56' Pietersma), Van Heeswijk, Van Wershoven, Eijken (46' Hilhorst), Arons, Peereboom en Prins (84' Stauffenberg).
