2022 Catapult GPS

The U21 and U18 of the Fortuna Academy will start using Catapult's GPS trackers. In doing so, the two top youth teams are following in the footsteps of the first team and Fortuna Women, who are already using the vests. The investment will be covered by the Association of Sympathizers.

Kemal Calik, head of youth training: "Data is becoming increasingly important in today's soccer. From the available data more and more information can be extracted, which contribute to the development of youth players. We are therefore pleased that we can now roll out this system to the U21 and U18. We would like to thank all the members of the Sympathizers very much."

"We as a board are very satisfied with the good cooperation with Fortuna," said chairman Wil L'Ortije. "The goal of our association is to facilitate and support youth training. We are therefore proud of the fact that our members have made this purchase, of the GPS tracking system for the under-18 and under-21 youth teams, possible."

Catapult's GPS trackers record the user's physical actions, which can be monitored real-life. The system is widely used in the sports world, including soccer.
